Go Green in the City

Go Green in the City, by Brenda WintermyerThe shops on Beaver Street present Go Green in the City, an event to promote buying fresh, buying local, and being green. Beaver Street between Philadelphia and Market streets will be closed for this downtown green block party. Local musicians  Indian Summer Jars, The Tamboureens, A. D. Chandler, Waitin on a Train and Hexbelt will perform in the parking lot of the White Rose Bar and Grill. Local artisans will sell art inspired by recycling, reusing and being green. Local green businesses will be there to help people learn how they can go green. Central Market House vendors will present their wonderful array of local and homemade food and products. This family-friendly event also features children’s crafts and activities. Check out the shops on Beaver Street for their special in-store events including demos, food tasting and discounts.
